I love the silky, shiny quality of the sirens' skin. And mermaids are so much more interesting as monsters! The real fun with sirens is playing on their deadliness, not their sexiness.
I do think that maybe the large mouths and eyes have more of an innocent or cartoon-like quality to them than a horror quality, but I dig the rows of teeth and the long, Samara-style hair. The subject's pose is also superb, and I notice you used primary colors again!
His face does seem a little flat to me, possibly only because it's skewing forward, but that's really the only thing in this piece that I can be nitpicky about. I LOVE his hands and the overall lighting/mood!

I know what you're saying about the face I'm not terribly happy about it myself. I had the hardest time finding reference for someone rowing the boat, so I had to infer what someone would look like from that angle. And the face being the most recognizable I think suffered. I would've kept messing with it, but I have deadlines to meet.
I use the primary colors again because I got the chance to. It is for the same series as the other piece that you commented on. And since I knew I wanted the sirens to be ghostly pale. I knew that I had to keep the colors minimal, so they wouldn't interfere with their prominence.
