Nirch's head bobs and twitches as November flails his little legs around. The hawk makes a few peculiar whistling sounds, intrigued by the lumbering waltz, and suddenly it sounds something like a low, grumbled 'chk chk chk chk!' Whether November realizes it or not, the hawk is laughing at him! But Nirch does then extend the offer to Nova to escort him on his quest for a lady hawk, out of amusement, and although unsaid, probably because it would make Nirch's dance moves look much better by comparison. Without waiting for an answer, Nirch hops onto November's back, and tells his new noble steed to move onwards.

Hawk Companion gained!

Nova danced his little heart out, swaying to the music only he could hear. He never noticed when Nirch began chuckling softly to himself, the little pony was far too focused on doing the best dance he could. He really wanted the hawk to come with him! That would be the most best thing to ever happen since...well, since quite a while.
Finally, his dance done, Nova put his two front hooves back on the ground and turned to face the bird. He was breathing heavily from the exertion, and his short legs were aching from holding his body at such an awkward angle. But he had done it!
“Well?” He gasped, hope fluttering in his chest. “What did you think?!”
The hawk tilted his head to the side, looking up at the pony with one beady eye. All trace of the laughter was gone. “Nirch was very impressed! Pony dances very well – for a pony!”
Kicking his back legs out, Nova let loose a little cheer. As soon as all four hooves were back on the ground, he was surprised by the hawk flapping up to settle on his back. “Nirch has decided to let the pony help him find a lady hawk to love! Onward noble steed!”
He was fairly bursting with happiness as he turned to look at the hawk with one eye. “Oh, gee golly whiz!! This is so exciting! Wait until we see Oren’s FACE she’s not gonna believe – ”
It was then that Nova remembered that he had no idea how to get back to the others. The noble steed could not go onward if he didn’t have a destination to travel to! Blushing, he shuffled his hooves beneath him. “Um….you see, that’s the problem.”
Nirch’s face was difficult to read for the young stallion, so he wasn’t exactly sure what the hawk was thinking. But his new friend bobbed his feathered head, flapping his wings wide enough to buffet Nova on his noggin. “Nirch will lead the pony where he needs to go! Just tell Nirch where this Oren is, and Nirch will show her how impressive the pony is! Nirch will tell this Oren how magnificent the pony danced! Nirch will also help the pony find love!”
He opened his mouth to correct the hawk, to tell Nirch that no, Nova wasn’t trying to find love – at least not with Oren! – but decided against it. The important part right now was getting the others! Turning back the way he thought he was supposed to go, Nova took off at a trot, and eventually the two of them found the herd.
Though Nirch wasn’t really very good at giving directions while riding on a pony’s back.
