And now continuing on from Athena we move on to the next character update: Ares, the God of War himself. Not really as much of a major recurring presence for TW as Hera or Athena, but he plays a very key role in one of the most pivitol storyarcs in the TW timeline, so yeah, he's kinda a big deal even if his lack of storytime suggests otherwise.

Designwise I went a bit further than with Athena. I gave him a cape suggestive of the mane or fur of some great beast, downplayed any skull imagery and incorporated the ram, plus in general adjusted his design to be more consistent with the other Olympians. And I created an entire arsenal of weapons for him, beginning here with his spear, which I call the Aridorys (literally "Ares' Spear"), which has a more cruel, brutal aspect to it than the Athenidorys.
