Description
Prismacolor pencils on Canson pastel paperWell my first attempt with Prismacolor pencils. So different to using pastels. One big difference, the time it takes to build layers. Think this has probably taken me 4-5 times longer than it would have if I had done it in pastels.
But I have quite enjoyed them. Use them again ... mmm we will see.
Many thanks to for the permission to use her beautiful image for my test piece for Prismas.

I like to get a smooth blend, it's a time consuming process with pencils.

Very nice, it's very realistic. It maybe sounds weird, but I really like her eyelashes. Keep it up!

You're very welcome. I bought some a while ago but sadly haven't used them for much. It felt like I couldn't find the right reference...
You have an instinct for colour and composition. What do you look for in a good reference?
