Very colorful and imaginative. What originally caught my eye was the form of the whale, it looked more like a jelly fish at first, until I got a better look. The background is especially interesting. It's not something everyone would expect to see, but that's what makes it so interesting. The shadow, on what seems to be a cloud, is what makes this deviation very proportionate. The brightness effect you used is what pulled all this artwork together.
Now, for the record, what can be improved is possibly the angle of the appendages on the side of the whale. It seems to be slightly off center. However that is only my opinion and if you choose to keep your beautiful work the way it is, you may disregard what I say. I agree about the imbalance of the appendages...especially the rear ones. I was attempting to make it look like it was twisting a bit, but without any central differentiation (like a spine or something) it just looks kinda off.

It's not off too bad. I do like the idea you were going with, making them look like it was twisting like a spine with the movements of the body. It's still an amazing work of art and I thoroughly enjoyed it
