Physical Description: A Giant Scops Owl (31 centimeters tall) with reddish-orange feathers with striped wings, two long ear tufts, and dark eyes.

Backstory: Aster was hatched in Silverveil, where he had a very normal life with his family. Even after becoming fully fledged, he continued to live in the family hollow until a forest fire devastated the area, destroying his hollow. He was rescued by the Guardians and taken to the Great Tree. He doesn't know the whereabouts of his family currently.

Relationships: None

Other: Aster has an unusually mellow sounding voice for a Scops Owl, and generally keeps to himself due to anxiety. Once befriended, he opens up a lot more, but he has a tendency to easily fall in love. Aster is a fan of weapons and war tactics (his parents were warcraft and tactic enthusiasts and often talked to him about it), and he hopes to be placed in the blacksmithing chaw.

Roleplaying Sample: Aster blinked. This owl seemed to be very knowledgable on the subject, or at least very good at studying quickly. He had heard of the Chaw of Chaws, it was one of the class's first lessons along side the story of Hoole and the lives of Boron and Barran, but what struck him as interesting was the Battle of the Siege.

"The Battle of the Siege? If I recall, that was where Nyra got her famed scar?" Aster didn't know much about the tree's history but he did know about battles and wars. His parents were warcraft enthusiasts, they never went to war themselves but they were passionate about the knowledge of war. They had always believed that if one knew of war and what caused it, they can be intelligent enough to better the future and make sure the same mistakes never happen again.
