Description
My first tutorial I ever made. And it was so much fun to do so. To record every step from sketch to final work was a great experience for me.And i hope some of you will read it
And i made it because Jelly-Jiggler117 just asked for it. And I loved the idea. Thank you. This was just fun to do. And I hope my English is understandable.
And don't hate me please, if there are already too many tutorials for pixelpics.
Oh! All the sketches and pics (and even the backgrounds) were made by me
Ariel the little Mermaid, Android from Metropolis and Ridley Kirby.
Oh, before I forget. This tutorial is for pixeling pics with previous sketches. Like "the easy way of Pixel". It's like a Beginners Guide for people, who want to get pixelated pics but need the help of a previous sketch or image.
Ariel by Disney, Kirby bei Hal Laboratories, Ridley by Nintendo, Metropolis by ? (my brother said, I should sketch the android from metropolis... I think it's a movie)
If there is anything you can't understand, i will try to edit it
(writing in paint sucks...)

It's a very easy way to get very good looking pixel pics. You won't be disappointed

Heh, this is exactly how I do sprites sometimes too. Though I usually nab art to practice since step 1 is a bit out of my ability, but I don't put those up anywhere anyway.
The problem with this method is it be come incressingly harder to do right the smaller you go. When you get down to 32x16 it's not very viable anymore.

it is hard, but not impossible
but I would say, if the area is too small, you should go with free hand (free pencil tool)

Awesome tutorial, it's really easy to follow and everything.
The highest resolution in MS Paint is x10, btw. To achieve that, simply enable the Grid(Ctrl+G), select the Magnifier tool, click on 8x button and then click the pixels directly below the border of that button.
You may need a couple of tries to get it right but once you succeed, if you go back to the Magnifier tool, none of the visible zoom options are selected, yet the grid shows you that you've zoomed in more than x8.
See [link] for an extensive list of tricks for MS Paint. I'm sure that it'll be helpful for all of you pixel artists out there.

WoW!!!
I only knew of the eraser refill function (as in the tutorial oO), quick undo and this terrible mousewheelbug (yes I call it a bug)
Thanks for the info!!!

Neato. I especially like the one of "Maria" from Metropolis... although I'm not sure what to call her since it's before she starts impersonating Maria

Is Metropolis a good movie?

Definitely. It's one of my favorite silent movies.
