Finally! Something that is really ME! Straight out of my magic world.I really wish I had these magical pencils to color my world, sometimes I just feel so grey.

It's not a pain doing it, just dipped the pencils in mineral water, waited a short time to get bubbled, then shot.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get a shot like this? I recently got a new DSLR and I've just been messing with it lately but I've seen a lot of pics kind of like this one DA (not knocking your originality! I just mean with the water bubbles) and I was just curious as to how exactly you set up the shot?

I've been doing the exact same as you wrote: just messing around with my new dslr.
I love exploring the technics, and when I had the compact camera, I've started to drop things in mineral water, so this is where I know that it will be full of bubbles.
So I had a wine glass of mineral water and put the pencils in it. It got bubbled (not sure exactly why this much of bubbles), and then I put the glass on the edge of the table.
If you have a 18-55 mm lens your lens' macro set up is very poor (like mine), so zoom in to the glass then set the focus point (with manual focus!).
Then click.

Nem bonyolult. Nagy borospohár, bele ásványvíz, bele ceruzák. addig forgattam őket mire bebubisodtak, aztán kb 60 kép után sikerült beállítanom kb a fókuszt is.

Áh, mindig is azt hittem, hogy ezeket valahogy lefagyasztják, egy csomó ilyesmi kép van és nagyon jól néznek ki. Nekem is ki kéne próbálnom valami hasonlót egyszer. Csak kérdés, mennyire tud makró lenni a makróm a géppel, de majd próbálkozom.
