I dont know, I think it looks pretty good with the pep base to work from. I have come a pretty long way in my methods of making things and I have thought of 3d modeling and 3d printing these parts to bring down the weight and cost.Β  I could print you the part if you would be interested?

Im tempted to get the front vent and side cannister and the knob, majoritivly ,i could ust fasten them on rather than shaping them with bondo, maby the goggle pieces too.....

But now that I've been thinking about it i like being able to brag about making my stuff all on my own..... its a curse

I know I am extremely late and this seems to have been inactive since late 2015, but I would love to know if this project was ever finished.

I got a little sidetracked working on some commission work. As this is a personal project. Paying work takes priority. lol I still have all of the parts ready I just need to get some extra time to finish this up. Thank you for your interest. Better late than never.

Hey ! When you're done, are you going to sell some of these ? If so, do you have a site or something ? I am very interested in having a Pyro mask and this one is the best I've seen so far. Looks awesome.

I also have planned some over sized rubber gloves, since everyone in the game has huge over sized hands. Except spy. normal hand freak. I will be casting the mask and glove both in a black urethane rubber with urethane plastic filters and lense frames. This will be the "Cadillac" of pyro masks.

I am in the process of making a mold of it so I can cast it in urathane rubber. I will also be casting the breather, filter, side knob and lense frames from a hard urathane plastic resin. Just needing to get the silicone to cast with.

I am glad that you like it. I do what I can to make things as accurate as possible. I looked around the internet and saw that no one has make a really good, from scratch, mask. So I wanted to. I will be putting together the whole suit and flamethrower as well. This is one of my personal builds that I do inbetween commission work.

I's there any chance you would make and sell these masks ?Β

they always buy masks off ebay dont they ? the other people

BuckarooProps In reply to blueapplestone925 [2015-07-20 18:05:54 +0000 UTC]

Yes, all of the others are modified from existing Russian style masks. They look "close" but I wanted an exact replica.
I was intending on making these for cosplay use. ThisΒ is a side project but if I get interest enough to warrant people wanting to buy them I would be willing to sell some till the molds breaks down. What is the circumference of your head?

Before I give you measurements how much will It cost if you do make one ? Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BuckarooProps In reply to blueapplestone925 [2015-07-21 10:53:17 +0000 UTC]

I will have to get an estimate on the amount of urethane rubber needed to cast a full mask and urethane plastic for the filters, lense frames, etc first before I can give you an estimate.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

blueapplestone925 In reply to BuckarooProps [2015-07-21 17:57:42 +0000 UTC]

okayΒ
Is it quit expensive or quit cheap ?Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BuckarooProps In reply to blueapplestone925 [2015-07-21 20:10:25 +0000 UTC]

I will need about a gallon of urethane rubber to make several masks. That runs at around $124 not including shipping. Then around another $40 for the casting plastic on the filters and lense frames.

blueapplestone925 In reply to BuckarooProps [2015-07-21 20:16:46 +0000 UTC]

so If I was to ask for a custom mask how much is the estimate that I will pay ?Β

Custom how? Custom fitted? This is currently made to fit my head at 23 inches around measured at eyebrow level. If I change this sizing then I will have to resize the filters and lense frames as well. Meaning I will have to start over from scratch to make a different size. If your head is this size or just slightly smaller then it should work out fine. Making one of these for you as it is, will run you around $180 as an estimate.

ah okay

BuckarooProps In reply to BuckarooProps [2015-07-18 01:10:40 +0000 UTC]

This is an older design. I have a different head base that I am working from that is modeled directly from the game 3d models for better accuracy. I re make the lense frames to be more of an oval shape.
