So now we have the Appa to my Aang. I imagine that if we were to take Appa and give him a real-world analogue, he'd totally be a VW Bus...albeit modified with 6 wheels instead of 4...Think about it, they practically live on Appa anyway, it makes sense.

Did you know that someone painted a Chevy Astro van as Appa? Look up the Appamobile. They have a facebook page. And I 'liked' it like a nerd.

Totally cool, I'm thinking more a 1/24-1/25 scale plastic model VW van here. I have a sort of alternate world-parallel dimension project that a consumer market six wheeled vehicle would fit in nicely.

Haha, that's actually the first idea. But the way the windshield swoops down I thought it was too aggressive a shape for Appa's good natured cuteness. So I went with the rounder VW Bus
