Description
Of all the Diago characters I've created, Bree has to be the one I changed the most often. From her outfit, to her powers, I just could not pin Bree down on anything. But after thinking about it, I realized that the thing the Diago Chasers team was missing the most was a magic enemy and Bree fit the bill.
I just hope I've managed to pin down a look for her that works as well.

Everyone loves a good goth chick.

She really has that gloomy girl vibe going. I'm not usually one for the school girl outfit thing, but the way you drew it makes me kinda like it.

Yeah, I was originally going for the goth look and it just sort of evolved into this. The blue color pallet just kinda jumped up at me out of nowhere.

It's a nice way to give her some color and it emphasizes her blue personality.

Speaks Japanese and writes depressing poetry? Nifty! Though casting spells would be pretty cool!

Writing bad poetry is awesome!
... but the magic stuff is cool too, I guess.

I was going to go for a more black color pallet, yet somehow blue just sort of crept in and took over.

Yeah it is. I almost feel like I'm shooting myself in the foot here.
I usually prefer more simple, easy to repeat designs.

since she can speak japanese, the clothes suits her. I mean, most anime I watch have girls with school uniforms or dress like that so it's pretty for her
well I don't mean by she really a japanese though

Well, it's not an accident that she knows Japanese.
Japan has been buying the most moxes so BioPets made sure to teacher Bree how to speak the language.

Oh no.
All BioPets monsters are given standardized orange and yellow jump suits to wear.
Bree, just like all the other members of the Diago Chasers team picked out clothes on her own when she went outside to the real world.

Freyad-Dryden In reply to Bug-Off [2012-12-08 03:19:25 +0000 UTC]
That's the idea.
Also, I just realized the connection between the tentacle-monster infestation and the fact that she's wearing a school-girl outfit.
It seems that Friendly BioPet Corporation caters to its customers on many levels. Many sick and twisted levels.
So, why is it that these guys are after Diago and not turning on their creators? You'd think that they'd sympathize with his cause.

Bug-Off In reply to Freyad-Dryden [2012-12-09 00:48:07 +0000 UTC]
BioPets uses a number of methods to curb behavior. Some methods work better on certain species than others, so they need a variety to keep their bases covered. From intelligence-limiting, to drugs, to bombs implanted in brains, to designing monsters with food dependencies that only they can provide.
But probably the most effective method they have is a type of mental conditioning that uses a form of hypnosis and brainwashing. The desired end result being that the possibility of escape or disobedience doesn't even connect in their minds. If you can prevent the thought from entering their minds, they won't even try.
BioPets refers to it as "programming".

Freyad-Dryden In reply to Bug-Off [2012-12-09 00:59:48 +0000 UTC]
Huh. So, how did Diago get away? Did he just become immune to their programming, like he slowly becomes immune to everything else?
Speaking of which, isn't Diago already immune to magic?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Bug-Off In reply to Freyad-Dryden [2012-12-09 01:50:54 +0000 UTC]
Just about.
I've cheated a little bit on Diago here, letting the experience from his AFL battles and independent crossovers bleed into the DU. So he's built up quite a tolerance to magic by now. But by my judgement, he hasn't been attacked with enough magic to become completely immune yet. More powerful spell casters could probably get something to stick on him still... temporarily of course.

Freyad-Dryden In reply to Bug-Off [2012-12-09 02:07:34 +0000 UTC]
Well, it shouldn't take too much longer, the way he seems to keep running into enemy spellcasters.
Does he become immune to magic in general, or does he build up immunity to one kind of magic at a time?
