This is another two-parter KOTOR comic.Onward to part 2 ----->
Though I tried, I could not condense the whole joke into one comic, so I decided to just split them.

1)if they are on my side they won't try to kill me
2)they reward you with a good weapon
3)you earn an alliance with them you meet the story teller and if you kill him you get a good weapon
4)I think the sand people history is interesting and the species they mentionded

Well first of all, this is the first KOTOR game and so that is Revan, not the Exile that HK-47 is with.
Second, HK is still a robot and is programed to take orders from his master... despite his own personal opinions.

Darn, I was hoping that he simply had a slightly complicated personality, which would allow him to be homicidal while still being loyal to his only friend.

All I know is that HK and my Exile character didn't get along so well due to her peaceful light-sided intentions.
My Reven was good as well, but once HK remembered who he really was, it didn't matter anyway.

HK is the coolest robot EVER.
I always rebuilt him in KOTOR II and I think I went completely dark side (and by completely, I mean so dark side that I would steal candy from a tuskan baby to get HK's approval dark side.. oh, and I took over the world.. that helped too.) once to get all his funny stories.
It was awesome.

It IS a rather simple and poetic description that is also very disturbing and so very HK-ish.
But you don't have to go darkside to hear him tell you what love is. He gives you that bit for free.
