Description
So I was cruising through DA one day, when I happened upon a club that was dedicated to Star Wars. But not just any Star Wars topic. It was dedicated solely to the Star Wars games, Knights of the Old Republic.I happen to have played the game myself (both of them) and thought that the site was loads of fun. Lots of comics. However, I noticed that there were no submissions dedicated to the droids HK-47 and T3-M4. These are both characters that have appeared in both games and were both wonderful characters just bursting with charisma. Yet no one seemed wanted to touch them on this site. And it’s not like there’s a lack of subject matter that fans make stuff about. These two guys have lots of history together. Common!
So I decided to take matters into my own hands and honor these guys with my own little tribute.
About the actual comic, now:
One thing that always struck me as funny is the way these guys talk. T3 can only speak in binary (so all you hear is *beep beep beep*) and HK always has to begin his sentences by first stating the type of sentence he is about to speak.
Another funny thing is that in the second game is that you get a third droid named G0-T0 (usually pronounced: Goto). Of all the people that have played this game that I have talked to, no one actually uses this character. No one likes him, no one uses him. He is essentially a useless character. That’s what I wanted to say with the comic.
*side note: HK is holding a coffee mug that says “Sith Happens”. In retrospect, it may have been funnier if he was holding a can of beer*

I don't know if it's fact or not, but in one of the FAQ sections Bioware said quote "Most of the characters from the original KOTOR will be dead, but their legacies will live on, and some droids last a long time." I won't be surprised id HK and T3 are there based on that statement.

I don't remember G0T0 very well. not even sure if I got him first time around and just completely ignored him or only got him the second time round and randomly stopped playing at that point.
Also, brilliant job with the T3 dialogue. Perfectly done.

Thanks. This comic was my first big hit. Of course, the art is so bad compared to what I can do now, but people still seem to like it.
And you can't play KOTOR II and not get G0T0. He automatically joins your party after the Nar Shadda planet.

i give G0-T0 a chance every now and then
he has his uses but if he isn't annoying
i'm a nice guy and all but i'm just about ready to stick a lightsaber through my HK droid, unfortunatly if i did that to goto another robot would just take his place

Actually, I think in the story your G0-T0 is the original droid. If he were killed, that would be the end of him.

i got the sense that goto is hiding somewhere and the goto droid that's with you is a droid he sent to watch you,i think he even says that when he first joins

Yeah, that's what he says, but from what I understand if you get on his good side, he tells you that he's actually THE G0-T0 and that him being a human in hiding is just a cover story.

how i play KOTOR 2 (i don't have the first 1)
step 1: pick 2 random characters and go into solo mode
step 2:have those characters attack on there own with me playing as them while the in game "me" stands way back at a safe distance and watches
step 3:replace anyone who dies
step 4:finnally step in when every last one of my teammates is dead
and i'm perfectly light alligned??????????

i can cut down those idiots myself with ease, so i make them do it for "reconissance"
if there's a dead end i just switch characters
of course there was this one time it backfired
HK and T3 had both gotten owned but T# had apparently triggered something before he did,when i switched back to myself i got jumped by like 8 guys, never stood a chance

Thank you. T3 may be a pain to draw, but he's fun to write for because the audience's understanding of what he says is dependant entirely on the other characters' reactions to him. So what I try to do is give people the basic idea of what he's saying without having to spell it out for them.
Remote was the one droid I forgot. I imagin the other droids would treat him like a little kid.

Yeah, probably. Despite the fact that he's probably older than the others (having been built by Bao when he was a kid), he acts the youngest. He's like G0T0's bratty little brother.

Oh, it's been quite some time since I've actually played... you have to have REALLY high influence with him before he'll fess up, but it's all done through player-initiated conversation, same as finding out the other characters' stories.

Yeah, but in order for me to gain influence with him, I had to do some evil things and I was going for a light-sided character.

Well, I was planning on playing the game twice anyway, since a friend dropped the tip that playing LSF first and DSM next makes it twice as fun. He was right.
