So I was cruising through DA one day, when I happened upon a club that was dedicated to Star Wars. But not just any Star Wars topic. It was dedicated solely to the Star Wars games, Knights of the Old Republic.I happen to have played the game myself (both of them) and thought that the site was loads of fun. Lots of comics. However, I noticed that there were no submissions dedicated to the droids HK-47 and T3-M4. These are both characters that have appeared in both games and were both wonderful characters just bursting with charisma. Yet no one seemed wanted to touch them on this site. And it’s not like there’s a lack of subject matter that fans make stuff about. These two guys have lots of history together. Common!
So I decided to take matters into my own hands and honor these guys with my own little tribute.
About the actual comic, now:
One thing that always struck me as funny is the way these guys talk. T3 can only speak in binary (so all you hear is *beep beep beep*) and HK always has to begin his sentences by first stating the type of sentence he is about to speak.
Another funny thing is that in the second game is that you get a third droid named G0-T0 (usually pronounced: Goto). Of all the people that have played this game that I have talked to, no one actually uses this character. No one likes him, no one uses him. He is essentially a useless character. That’s what I wanted to say with the comic.
*side note: HK is holding a coffee mug that says “Sith Happens”. In retrospect, it may have been funnier if he was holding a can of beer*

Well you just stumbled upon my first and still champion KOTOR fancomic. This one has been faved more than any of my others. Heck, it's my most faved deviation period!
...which kind of gets to me in a way. I mean the drawing and the background are both pretty bad and I've imporved them so much in my following ones! I've come to the conclusion that this one is popular for two reasons. One: it's got HK in it. And Two: it unites people in their hatered of G0-T0.

I didn't bother with G0-T0 at all, besides for a little cash for 'restoring' planets. And even that was useless. By that time, you've got so many credits that it'd take the loss of a million high-stake pazaak games to empty the bank.
They're all great in your style, btw. Especially T3, his pose really gives him alot of emotion. ^^

Oh? I never knew that.. I suspected, though, since I blew up his damn yacht and he wasn't mad at me. Or dead. I think I'll play both games again as a DSM, since it's always been my natural course to play LSF. I miss alot of funny dialog.

Oh, and I always save my game before I gamble or race so that if I lose I can just reload the game and not lose any of my money.
The only thing that I found interesting about Goto was that it turns out that there IS no Goto. There is only G0-T0. "Goto" is only a projection that G0-T0 invented to make people THINK that there was a man behind the robot. The whole reason that G0-T0 wants to protect the republic is because that's what he's programmed to do.
But I didn't figure that out in the game, I did a Wikipedia search and found out by accident.
And thank you. Giving expression to a character is hard enough without that character being a droid. When they're a robot, it's almost imposable, but I did my best. I don't think I exacty accomplished helping readers figure out their mood solely on the picture. However, their positions coupled with the dialogue, I think, gave readers a pretty good idea.

See now, I was ahead of the curve on that game because, while I may have played the games several different ways with different characters, my favorite character in the first was a LSM and my favorite in the second was a LSF. And you know what? It's cannon now! That means I called it! W00T! I called it! Me! That was me!
Unfortunatly that is the only Star Wars comic I made. I've been thinking about makeing more though. The only other Star Wars related stuff I have here are a few original characters I invented and my Dev ID depicting me as a jedi...

Yeah, the thing that always gets me is that you never know what the hell the droids speaking bionary are saying. Not even even when you're talking to them in the game. The only way to get the vaugest idea of what they're saying is to wait for other's reactions. I thought it would be kind of funny to play off that fact.
I.E. You don't KNOW exactly what T3 said about HK's mom, but you got the hint that it wasn't very nice.
