No drawer on the right side in the gap?
Really nice work!

Yes, I might still do something there. The dog's water supply is supposed to go there, it's not quite done yet, even today...

Top is 2 pieces of 18"x18" travertine tile, one full size, one cut to 5 inches, very inexpensive for beautiful rich effect, and the bullnose tiles are matching ceramic pieces, all built on 2 layers, 3/4" plywood with 1/4" Hardibacker concrete board, glued and screwed together. How's that?

I thought that was travertine! My parents have that in their kitchen and entryway.
HA! Thanks for all the info!

I use the wall tiles too, especially 3x6's.

By the way, the animal clinic I used to work for used travertine in their lobby as well. The filler got kicked out by dog nails and left little pockmarks in their place. It was a fairly abused floor, and the travertine just couldn't hold up.
FYI, In case that bit of information is of interest to you.

You mean the grout between the tiles? Dogs are tough on all floors. Maybe animal clinics need STEEL FLOORS. Or maybe all dogs should wear shoes.

I think they fill the bubbles that form in the natural limestone. I think its an epoxy mixture. So naturally, a dog's claws will just lift that out of the tile fairly easily. Especially when the doggie REALLY doesn't want to go into that little room with the doctor.
However, that being said. The travertine at my parent's home is fine. They have small dogs.

NOBODY wants to go into that little room with the doctor. Unless he has treats. Or beer.

Thanks, yes, I think well-built furnishings will last for centuries. However, I fear, the sink will not he he...

Would make an awesome touchscreen table. I think MS has some big ones for presentations and such. Not for John Q. Normal.

You could put your computer in the hole. You wouldn't get much done. But you could wash the computer every day.
