iowa citya group of activitists from university of iowa protested at the local walmart.
against the values and the low cost economics that walmart uses to survive.
low cost economics that force people into hard labor in 3rd world countries.
there was a showing of a film about walmart a few days afterwards.
the activitists were passing out fliers.
use your power as a consumer for good.

Yes, while the basics of human nature dictate that we wish for this world to be good, not many people can actually claim that they're capable of doing what they preach.
It's good to know that some people are still speaking up. I guess courage works in numbers. There are regular protests at my uni, though really, they do such futile things. I reckon protests should voice a public opinion if it is suppressed by something, not your own even if it is undermined.

I totally agree about Walmart. Something needs to be done to them. The shot is also very nicely done.

Great photojournalistic (?) shot. How appropriate that one of the signs is on a garbage can. Says a lot about Walmart.
