Just me attempting a female namek really quick. For as long as I can remember I've been kinda iffy about the entire idea of female namekians...I was very "if it's not hinted at in the series it shouldn't be considered a serious option." But I was ruminating on some old theories about why there are none on the show/in the manga and I'm actually starting to really like the idea of them. So many interesting scenarios out there to play with--It would figure that I get the angle I'm going for with my first Fem. Namekian drawing and then bungle it with a cruddy background, but I digress... -_-One of these days I'll have time to draw and upload some real fanart to post around here....until that day, these random five minute scribbles when I can grab a moment will have to do.
...I miss this place.

You know how Guru was the last Namekian after the whole climate effup on Namek? And all his kids are male or male-looking?
Well, female Namekians could easily exist if a "male" namekian spat up an egg, and the embryo's dna hurked back to the olden days of female/male reproduction and ended up a female
Just my theory, but I had to get it out.
Also- god, it's wonderful to see some DECENT (at the very least!

Aw, thanks very much! Yeah, I must agree it never made much sense to me how Nameks would have any hair when they clearly don't have the genes for it.
If you like this then you will certainly like DH 's stuff. She does some killer fem. nameks....not to mention is amazing at everything else too. x)

I really like female nameks. I always have loved Piccolo, and the thought of him having a mate fill me with joy. There's one obsure referance in the manga to a Namek named Rii and they say "She" instead of he. I dont know if that was a typo or what, but the thought of it just makes me happy. ^_^ ao NYHOO, THIS IS AN AMAZING DRAWING, IT ROCKS, GO NAMEK, dbz FOR LIFE!

Five minutes? Dang. It may be sketchy but it's still awesome. LOVE love love the lighting on her skin. The background is plain but hey, it doesn't detract from her.

I like that you kept her bald. I always thought since regular Namek's don't have hair, neither should the fictional females. Besides... bald is cool.

Hee, yes--bald is beautiful! x3 I dunno, the hairless thing just makes more sense to me. The only way I can see a namek having hair is if they are a crossbreed, but even then one must wonder if the genetics would even work.

I've always liked the idea of female nameccians because it just gives you so many more possibilities to play with in stories. I actually thought I invented them back in 99, before really venturing on the Interwebs and discovering the glory that is Daimaou Himegai. There were a bunch of cool girls around them, like Aya and another who's name I can't remember, but they've mostly faded away... it makes me sad.
I'm thoroughly pro-female nameccian ^_~ So this, done so cooly, makes me quite happy.
