www.steampoweredgiraffe.comRabbit the robot is a character I play live in the musical stage act, "Steam Powered Giraffe." What we can't pull off live is the creepy inner-workings of this warbot-turned-entertainer.
Rabbit's look constantly changes in the live act, and this is the meshing of all the looks she has had over the years. From goggles, to ears, to the arrow nose- now you know!

Love seeing the changes Rabbit has gone through.
And it is cooler than cool that y'all have been able and willing to DO that in the live act. Because I know how some people are against "change", and have said hurtful things. But y'know what? Change is LIFE. And if the SPG act stayed the SAME throughout the years, it'd grow old fast. I can't imagine people would be too thrilled if you only kept playing the same old songs and never came up with new ones. Plus...I mean...c'mon. ROBOTS. They're MADE to be upgraded every now and then. And I applaud there being an openly female robot among them. Reminds me a little of Terry Pratchett's writing--are you familiar with The Fifth Elephant? It was awesome the way he wrote dwarves wanting to show their femininity. Actually...that dude did tons of cool things with gender roles throughout Discworld. (The world's a sadder place with him dead now.)
But I digress...!
I always liked the idea of a warbot-turned-entertainer.
I think it's the same reason I loved the Iron Giant.
Just one of those things where a character gets to turn against type.
Saying: just coz you were BUILT a certain way, doesn't mean you have to BE that way.
