FAQ #332: Does deviantART have a feature that will automatically watermark my deviations?
"This option will be presented to you only if you change the Display Options field to one of the smaller resolutions available in the submission/editing process, allowing you to add a watermark or not.
Images which are kept at 'original size' will not be processed by us and will not present the option of automatic watermarking on your images."
Also, if you submit your image under certain categories, or your image type (jpeg, png etc) is different from the usual, the watermark option will not appear.

you cannot do that using dA but you can add it using photoshop/SAI or whatever art program you are using before putting it on dAΒ

you have to upload either jpeg/jpg or png or something along that line. psd doesn't work if you want to get a watermark!!
I usually concert to png when i use photoshop and want to post on dA, if that helps

help ive been trying to watermark my paintings and ive tried resizing my image in photoshop and updating my main file but it wont work. the image just gets smaller and no display options are available

I don't think you can add it in your sta.sh until you upload it (but you can always upload it, save it then delete it i guess)

nope as far as I know you can't change it's size. if you don't like big watermarks then you shouldn't use dA's default watermark but make your own instead
