DO TAKE NOTE:
FAQ #332: Does deviantART have a feature that will automatically watermark my deviations?
"This option will be presented to you only if you change the Display Options field to one of the smaller resolutions available in the submission/editing process, allowing you to add a watermark or not.
Images which are kept at 'original size' will not be processed by us and will not present the option of automatic watermarking on your images."
Also, if you submit your image under certain categories, or your image type (jpeg, png etc) is different from the usual, the watermark option will not appear.

try changing the resolution of your image to a larger one! I think that might work

oh, I did. Β the resolution on my pictures are full, and my pictures are typically larger than 1000px x 1000px

check the format of your image too and which category you submit in dA

you can add it with your own art software instead of using deviantart's watermark! not sure if dA's water can be added for your case though

if you mean putting up your own watermark then as far as I know you can't do in on dA itself but rather do it on your own art software

Im trying to update a picture with a PNG file and add a watermark and im not getting an option

the format of my picture is JPEG and this option does not show

it also depends on the size of your picture and which category you submit it to

what format is your picture originally in? if it's not the usual jpeg or png it probably won't show up
