Hey Lanny, do you know if this is still applicable to the newer versions of Bridge?

It is, renaming in bulk and the metadata one - I still use the same templates in CS5 and 6 and apply them in the same way

Awesome, thank you! Would you mind if I link to them for one of the mini-classes at #Teach-Me-Manips ? (if you don't know, that's my new group)

boy! that's complicated...
I just use AcdSee (picture viewer) to rename bulk files. MUCH easier.

It gets cranky if you do more than 15,000 at a time, but I've successfully done 25k+ at once with it.

lol its not when you actually do it, plus when you work constantly with Photoshop it becomes second nature, plus in all honestly it was created with stock providers in mind, and I've yet to find a stocker that uploads more than perhaps 50 new stock photos at any one time, so the huge bulk isn't a requirement, also I get peeved if I have to start opening up other applications when the one I'm working in does the same thing without any agro Don't forget that there are also 2 different versions of the same application being shown in this tutorial, so its not as complicated as it looks

cool - nicely explained....me thinks i need to get round to doing this rather than being a little random in my naming procedure...!!

lol yep, its so much faster to name everything then add the metadata then add the copyright strips and stuff
