The ability to, as thetani said, conceptualize is a great one. Your Journal not only takes us on the artistic journey we all long to have, but allows us to see a detail the tought processes and ideas that make your work great.
Excelent work, you should be given a prize for the care you take of your fans.

This is better than a tutorial. This gives people a better idea of how to conceptualize, especially color theme decisions. Highly enjoyable to watch you work.

Ah, I like how this is set up! It's a fresh new way to read a "how-I-did" sort of thing, a step away from the ordinary tutorial. I also liked the finished product very much, so it's pleasing to know what you did in order to achieve those visual effects.

Most people yell at me because I enjoy doing props and backgrounds more than the central figures in a drawing. I like how you pay close attention to both.

aww i loved it, i watched it 3 times. i was wondering how you did the unfocused leaves in the foreground. did you just use the blur tool or the smear tool? also, the reflection of the light on both the branches and the characters, i dont know how to do that. i think its called hard light, but i cant figure out how its done. any help would be greatly appreciated.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

buraisuko In reply to Jizames05 [2006-09-27 07:35:34 +0000 UTC]

i just used the regular brush/pen tool. no blur or smearing. and yes, I used hard light with light colors to add some of the lighting.

I think that this is about one of the best step-by-step making ofs I've ever seen. I don't know about the original, but looking at this just wants me to see and fav it (which I will do right after this). I love the overall composition of the flash and the layout and I find also the easy navigation very well done. I'm honestly impressed.

The the whole process of it has taught me a lot about how to fix my lighting and colour scemes (which are currently pretty simple). So, thank you!
