Description haha, this is so weird.

anyway, this is pretty much how i draw the face of a girl.
a boy's face would obviously be broader and have a stronger jawline, more square-ish.
also, this is a really loose way of drawing, i know. i'm not telling anyone this is a guaranteed learning experience here. it's pretty vague...

but this is how i do!

It DID actually!! although i cant seem to make a body appropriately yet... A part of it, whether its an arm or a leg, or the torso, never comes out right. I've tried the hearts thing but... not for me... Ok might as well stop ranting and continue practicing!!

THANKS!

Very interesting! Thanx a lot for this!
So, do you start with the head when you draw people? How do you get the pose done? I've always got huge problems with perspective and stuff.
And where did you learn to draw emotions?
So many questions! I hope you don't mind.

hmm, well.
i do start at the top usually and
i sketch it all out(e.a. the figure) before adding detail
(e.a. facial stuff and clothes);
making sure i have the perspective right.
i use the eyebrows mostly to have them express emotion, but the hands and shoulders work too.

i guess i'm gonna have to make another tutorial!!

hm... I see. Or rather: I'd like to see
I noticed that the eyebrows are important. As for hands: I can't draw them at all... it's better now than it was because I discovered, that it can be very helpful to determine where the thumb goes but hands are still a mystery to me.
About perspective: lol, I WISH I could judge between "right" and "wrong". Mostly, I draw a pose so often till it fits - and this process takes me MONTHS! Seriously! I'm working for months on the same pose. That's why I often use profile perspective - because it's the easiest to draw. But also the least interesting
I think you are becoming my idol or something. Thanx for all your help!

haha! that's funny... ME. an IDOL.
jaykay, i'm just being stupid.

but anyweh, if you keep practicing (and i know this is a tired line) you'll get the hand of things!
perspective is a kind of hard thing to explain, but the
easiest way to practice that is with a model or something to look at.
that helps tons!!

hope i'm helping!

That is almost precisely the same as my process, only I put the bridge of the nose from the eyeline to wherever.

I have issues with making the forehead small, and the side-view, of having the forhead lead into the nose, adn the nose into decent lips. Any tips for that?

hmm, well,
if you have a model, you can use your pencil to measure from a distance, then use it to measure
the same distance on your paper. that way, it's more precise.

basically, i think it all just needs to be in proportion. looking at a model helps A LOT.

hope that helps!!
