PLEASE, DEAR GOD, LET SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN IN MOCKINGJAY. i don't care if Katniss ultimately chooses Peeta or not. i won't be all that upset if she doesn't. well, i will, but just a little.i will, however, cry if my favorite character isn't okay.
pleeeease let him be okay. D:

I almost did too, but the window had netting, so it just bounced back. It was like a bomb dropping on a minefield.

Why must you be taunting me with a happy reunion when what we got was... Let's just say it was less happy than this, for the people whom haven't read the book yet. (I seriously thought I was the last person to until I started talking about to some of my friends.)
I love Peeta's reaction here, though. He's so surprised and you can tell he is going to be so happy in just a second, just after he realizes he is actually awake. I bet if what really happened didn't happen something like this would've. Amazing expressions, body language, pen and pencil strokes, and everything!

Well, maybe in the movie they can start it off like this, where Katniss manages to hug attack Peeta before he can really get his bearings. And then when he realizes who it is, BAM! Chokehold.

I just finished Mockingjay! My word the ending is so depressing! Whenever I reread it I think of Frodo at the end of the LotR. You know, how the adventure, the journey ruined and left him hollow and empty, like there's nothing left to live for. The Hunger Games trilogy made me so depressed lol!

Nope, Peeta would support Katniss in all things. Even when he thought she didn't love him. He still stood by her and respected her and her wishes. Unlike Gale who couldn't even accept that she loved Peeta, or even understand the agony she was going through when Peeta was taken away by the Capitol.
