Great work on using perspective and nice choice of colours are the things that tand out in all your work. Here I like that something so grim can be turned into a nice picture if you just play with perspectives. Further, the play of light and dark in this picture is very well done. I think I may have wanted to see the picture a bit more to the left. I like you picked something that is busy and yet you bring calm into it by making it matted and serene. Great job, love to see more of this from you.

Thank you for the critique! I agree, I also wish I framed it a bit more to the left. Thanks for the feedback!

I usually feel a touch of vertigo when viewing a photograph such as this one, but this is so well balanced, that I can simply enjoy the view and the detail.Β
Congratulations on receiving a Daily Deviation!

What an excellent picture! It describes very well the "void attraction" in Tokyo. The Belgian writer AmΓ©lie Nothomb wrote a lot about this phenomenon.

Hmmm, in her book "Stupeur et Tremblements" (which is an autobiography), she imagines herself jumping out of the window of the building where she works and falling of the 44th floor to fly over Tokyo.Β Β

Wow, breath taking view! Looks a little frightening to me with that view down, it looks like you inched towards the very ledge, but I'm sure it was your camera that did that.

I think me a minute to realize it was a photo and not a 3d-render. That's something else. lolΒ
Nice shot.

The settings you used for this capture were a combination of excellent choices, and gives the viewer exactly what the photographer & photograph was meant to be in collaboration.Β The view makes me forget that humanity is present, yet it's full of just that.Β Congratulations!
