Skiff swallowed, clutching the edge of the lifeboat in terror.

'I think we're going to die' He thought.

But I think Captain likes storms a lot more than poor little Skiff there XD

These two have been so much fun to draw so far so I'll chuck some headcanons in here:

Some of these are kinda silly XD Be warned

Despite the 11 year age difference, Captain and Skiff don't really feel it, and are great friends regardless.

Skiff becomes friends with the Search And Rescue team through Captain

Captain called Skiff 'Skiffer' as a parody of 'Skipper' - Skiff doesn't mind this

Skiff CAN persuade his friend onto a sailboat just as Captain will persuade him onto the motorised boats.

Joe (the lighthouse keeper) is a boat enthusiast and also build a good friendship with Captain. Joe is Skiff's uncle-type figure and boss, but no blood relation. Skiff is Joe's employee.

Joe is slightly confused about Captain's first name. 'Captain what?' 'Captain, Captain Joe!' 'Captain Captain?'

Captain enjoys boat racing, storms, fishing, watersports, the occasional flirt with Skiff for the hell of it because it's cute when Skiff get's flustered and arm wrestling the other SAR members.

Skiff enjoys whale-watching and painting. His best paintings feature mermaids. He paints mermaids on shells and sells them at the Sodor fayre's in summer for a great price.

[Speaking of, Captain once threatened to dress as a mermaid and go to the Sodor summer fayre. So far, he never has, but Skiff is pretty sure he'd never live it down, so he hopes Captain will never go through with his promise.

Captain fully intends to uphold this promise so long as he get the rest of SAR team to join in. Belle, Flynn and Rocky are in. Butch is on the fence. Harold needs more persuasion. ]

I got carried away at the end XD Ignore the last two if you want, I was having fun thinking of mermaids (which are some of my favourite things to draw!)

It's because Captain in particular needs more screen time! Skiff's personality is pretty obvious, but Captain's is more malleable.

Which is not a bad thing
