www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=…Sticking with the alternate inevitability that Zigzoo and Ariela in fact grew up as best friends, and that's why Zigzoo loves her so much, I decided to go through their stages of growing up (Zoe told me to add two grave stones to the end -__-)
So eggs, hah hah. Then the basic hatchling - caterpillars only have their basic body colour at birth, and tadpoles have external gills (I've raised some myself
Next, caterpillars faces go a VERY light colour of their adult face (depending on their origins) They also get their back colour. Tadpoles external gills begin to become internal.
A bit like deer, caterpillars begin to grow their antenna (NOT biologically correct, but fun to draw) tadpoles have stumps for legs.
Woo-hoo! Zigzoo's grown legs, and is starting to colour. Ariela's antenna have begun to grow and she's got her very own lasso and hat.
Zigzoo's arms have begun to grow (this happened OVERNIGHT) and Ariela's excess arms begin to shrink, and her antenna grow clubs. Zigzoo is now a froglet, and his eyes go to the top of his head. Colouring begins on the feet
Chrysalis time for Ariela! She'll remain in her chrysalis for a good few months, growing wings and arms ect. Zigzoo is a fully formed froglet, but still has a tail (can officially leave the water for prolonged periods of time)
And n'aww ~ Adult stage
