Jason sees himself rather introverted person, preferring to keep to himself and turning down the company of others. Though he does feel uncomfortable around others, he won't admit he usually needs the company to ease his tension and distract himself from his constant worries.
He's normally comes across as rude and ill tempered, usually ignoring other's attempts at conversation or outright insulting them. Though he is pretty rude at heart, he does enjoy ruffling other people's feathers and often tries to purposefully flirt or annoy them.
Over all he's a pretty cynical jerk

History:

Jason, alongside his younger sister Jessica, grew up in a rather wealthy family in the Hoenn region. Due to his family's high status and image, Jason and his sister were pushed greatly to meet their parent's high standards and expectations.  His father, the CEO of a large finacial company and an associate of the infamous Team Rocket, insisted on turning his son into a prodigy, expecting Jason to follow in his father's footsteps. Jason however, had plans of his own, wishing to follow other children his age and become a Pokemon Trainer. Lonely and unhappy with his life, the young boy tried his best to please his family, always falling short of their praise and satisfaction. With no love and support other than from his pet Eevee, Jason felt alone in the big house, wishing he could ignore his father's rule and set off on his own Pokemon adventure.
As he grew older, and arguments with his father grew more and more frequent, Jason finally felt it was time to take matters into his own hands, tired of his father's plans for him. On the night of his 13th birthday, Jason, alongside his Eevee, snuck out of the house and ran away.

Though he had escaped his overbearing responsibilities and family, Jason realized he was far from prepared to enter the real world. With no proper Pokemon training, money, nor supplies, Jason set off on a difficult journey on his own. For weeks he and Eevee stumbled along routes, trying their best to train together. Finally, after about a month of hopeless wandering, Jason made it to the city of Lilycove, grateful for the free care at the Pokemon Center. For weeks he stayed in the city, trying to train and to study his Eevee and their techniques. He battled trainers, studied wild Pokemon, and worked at a local Pokemon daycare, where he learned more and more about breeding from the Breeders and Managers who worked there.
By the time Jason turned 16, he had evolved his Eevee into a Vaporeon, and acquired several more Eevees through breeding. Now far more wise and inspired, Jason was finally ready to resume his adventure, taking his team and traveling among the central regions.

As he grew older, Jason's interests varied and changed, all the while becoming greatly trained in the science of genetics. This led to him applying for jobs at whatever research facility he could find, eager to learn more about Pokemon genetics and cross breeding. Finally, after a few months of training and exploring regions like Kalos and Unova, Jason managed to settle down and land himself a job at a major cooperation known as Amph Co. There he worked as a professional breeder, studying various ways to produce the best, most efficient Pokemon he could, all while trying to figure out a way to breed those from different egg groups.
Because of his hard work and dedication, Jason slowly made his way up the company's ranks, finally catching the eye of the CEO manager. The manager, who's job was only a front, actually worked as an executive for a crime syndicate known as Team Augment. The man called Jason into a meeting, deciding that the young man could be of great use to Team Augment. There he offered Jason a position among their group, a high paying job, but certainly no where near legal. Frightened and caught off guard, Jason tried to turn down the offer, but was made to realize he had no choice in the matter.

Now caught up with a crime ridden organization, Jason was forced to work along side the group, tasked with developing and refining plans for the syndicate. As he worked beside the team, learning more of their goals and plans, Jason grew shamefully interested in taking part, doing what he could to aid the group.
During his stay with the group, Jason was introduced to the head of the operations, a young, but ruthless man named Xavier. Almost enchanted by the man's charming and cruel nature, Jason quickly fell for the group's leader, and soon formed a rather debaucherous relationship between the two. Years passed however, and right as the group reached it's point of success with their plans, a terrible accident happened, resulting in the entire lab being destroyed, the plans catching fire, and Jason (and a captured suicune) undergoing serious chemical burns. Since the accident was caused by his own hands, Jason fled the Team and the region in fear, unable to face his former lover's and leader's wrath. [He prefers not to talk about what happened during his time with Team Augment, but will disclose details to close friends.]

After fleeing from his failures, Jason took months to recover, living in fear of Team Augment searching him out. During this time, the young man changed his name and settled himself back in Hoenn, leeching off his father's bank account until he could once again support himself. Now, years later, Jason has settled comfortably on a small ranch, proclaiming himself to be a Pokemon Professor, pretending that his past never occurred. Living quietly with his little Eeveelutions, Jason eventually came across a young boy, an orphaned child much like himself. About to turn away the lost and rather scrawny child, Jason noticed the boy's Pokemon was a Sylveon, an Eeveelution he had not encountered before. A little displeased, the young professor took the boy named Alex in, eventually becoming very fond of the boy, who took it upon himself to become Jason's assistant. Now they work together, with Jason looking after Alex, and in return Alex set off to fetch different Pokemon for Jason to study.
