Hey! It's Nostalgia Week! It's also... WTF Friday. So, some good ol' Nostalgia WTF?Catdog. What... what the fuck was that show? Just.. huh?
If the villain from The Human Centipede went on a tequila bender and decided to design a digimon, I don't think the result would be as weird as this. Forgive my crassness, but I wondered this as a kid and I still wonder it now- how did catdog poop?
However, there are the more fundamental questions regarding Catdog: WHY? HOW? HUH? Etcetera.
Admittedly, this was never my favourite cartoon. It was fun, but kind of lacked that comedic cleverness and satire that made Rocko's Modern Life and Spongebob Squarepants really work. Then again, I watched it at that awkward stage in one's life when you're between cartoons being simple cartoonish fun and nostalgic/"ironic"/who-the-fuck-am-I-kidding-cartoons-are- awesome-and-I-accept-that-now fun.
Maybe it's actually good? I like the batshit insanery of the concept. It's not that I disliked it, just... not as fond a memory, lol. Those greaser dogs were choice, though.
That theme song will get stuck in your head, though. FFFFFF.

Swedish voices in general is quite.. odd. Feels like there is around 15 people doing ALL the dubbed cartoon voices here.

BEST ONE YET, and yes you got the theme stuck in my head. For some reason watching this show always gave me a headache, so I wasn't too fond of it either. Same with Tiny Toons Adventures though I loved the shit outta that.

I loved this show! I didn't even grow up in Canada, but I still watched it whenever it aired. And yes. I also had that one fundamental question....how did this thing poop?

I think we all did in one way or another ask how the hell Catdog poops. My answer, besides going really disgusting is somewhere in that universe there is a creature with two butts, like on that Simpsons Halloween episode.

This was defiantly a weird show, I remember the episode where they got really famous and Canada was renamed Catdogada or something (because Canada apparently is shaped like Catdog)

P'raps they became conjoined when they both passed through the same wormhole at the same time but at different instances... and they don't poop here because they still have the wormhole in their middle - the poop comes out another version of catdog - this version we see is the two heads, the other is the two rears.. XD

I feel pretty much the same way about this show. It was very wtf okay then ??? But it wasn't bad. Just not nearly as memorable as others. Damn fine rendition of the lead character(s), though. [: Especially cat's face. He does not look too pleased to have a dog for an ass. I probably wouldn't be too pleased if I were in the same situation, myself. :'D
