There's nothing better than climbing into bed and powering down for the night, after a hard day of obviously important things, and productivity... You know, like bingewatching all of the live action Transformers movies on sites that are probably virus farms, eating an entire box of Frosted Flakes, and sitting in the car staring into the distance while listening to an old MCR playlist on repeat... yep productivity am I right? And nothing's more satisfying than waking up after having a super awesome adventure filled dream. Yep we're talking about dreams today m8s! So sit down gather' roun and welcome to dreamland! (Kirby reference I suppose)

Most of the time I always end up forgetting dreams which usually means they weren't very interesting or impactful to begin with. However I do get the occasional charged dream that stcks with me. These can range from very good, to "What the f- was that!" In between those would be the nightmares even though I rarely ever get nightmares. I rarely get nightmmares but instead I do get quite a few dreams that leave me awake with some depressing feeling. And a lot of those dreams weren't even about something depressing. It could have been a dream where I was back in third grade doing whatever third grade things I was doing, then wake up feeling like something really sad just happened, even though not really? (Maybe the altered settings and the lighting and colors in the dreams contribute to the feeling?) Some of my friends would call those depressjng dreams nightmares but I don't consider them so. to me a nightmare would have to be something scary, like encountering a violent demon, or Freddy Kruger. (Both of which I have had run ins with more than once in nightmares, and managed to outsmart) I don't remember the last time I had what I consider a nightmare. But one that sticks with me is one I had while taking a nap. I was in the downstairs living room watching the news and everything is going as usual. Well until the captions on the TV activate on their own and it's spelling out glitch text jibberish, until the captions take up the whole screen, the lights start flickering and this wind comes out of nowhere and this extremely loud distorted laugh sounds from upstairs as all this is going on. I consider myself lucky that I woke up right after the laugh, before I got to meet whatever it was. This dream doesn't sound like much now that I'm typing it out like this. It's one of those "you had to be there to get it" moments. I think what really freaks me out thinking about it is the fact this was one of the very very few times my house setting was not distorted. Everything was as accurate as in reality, which is unusual because my familiar settings are usually distorted enough to be different places from how they are in reality.

This next one was neither depressing nor a nightmare but still a very scary wtf kind if situation. I noted this dream down in point form the moment I woke up because I wanted to remember it.

I don't remember what the setting was in the beginning but we had just gotten some news that the earth was being pulled closer towards the sun for some reason, and that was causing the planet's spinning to slow down, and eventually stop. All of this was causing earthquakes and rapid continental shifts. There was a little sidestory aside from what I saw going on as well. This sidestory involved a man in Paris (which was all abandoned and now a ghost town) running from another man from the US. The french guy had a teleportation device which the American wanted to use to get back to his home so he could see his family before the world ends. Both these guys were riding horses too so it was like some wild west horse rider chase through the abandoned streets of Paris. Anyway the frenchman activates the teleportation device which opened a portal to New Jersey. After both go through the portal the french man gets away, while the American sorta gives up at this point and realizes the situation in New Jersey is something out of a war movie. The sky has a yellowish colour to it as if there was a chemical weapons attack. He then sees a disoriented man chasing a little girl into some broken down house. The guy then notices thatbfor some reason there is a zombie apocalypse type of situation going in this part of the world. Everyone is sort of in a superstitious state of mind thinking they were being punished by a higher power they called "Foot" (Don't ask why, it was just called "Foot"). Back where I am with my friends, we were having an existential crisis trying to fully process what was going on. I remember joking about not wanting to become ghosts after we die, because I think being ghosts aimlessly existing in space would suck. I did kimda like having really long nights though. They were like really long warm summer nights. Nearer to the end of the world, everyone around my neighbourhood all gather at a park every night to watch new strange natural activity, like the ground cracking apart. I wasn't asleep long enough to see how it all ended but I'm pretty sure being sucked into the sun ended the world.

In 8th grade I used to have dreams that revolved around everyone in my gym class getting into weird hijinx and shenanigans. I don't remember all of them specifically but we'd just be going around and causing chaos. Since around 2014 I have dreams that involve several characters from shows, movies, anime, etc going into one world and survivng some catastrophe. I had one where myself, a few friends from high school and a whole bunch of characters, from Gravity Falls, Hetalia, Naruto, and some other media I can't remember were forced to stay in some weird haunted apartment that had a labratory under it. In that labratory was some sort of creature that was like half shark and half ape, which broke out and started stalking and most likely killing people. I remember hiding out in a room with Dipper, Mabel and uhh... Capn Crunch... Seriously I was hiding from an ape shark thing with the mystery twins and Capn Crunch... this doesn't get any weirder than that. When people say your dreams have meaning..l I want to know... what the actually heck was the meaning of being barricaded in a bedroom with Dipper, Mabel, and Capn Crunch to avoid a bloodthirsty ape shark? ..... Anyway we all make it out of this situation somehow and well Bill Cipher greets us all thinking it was all fun and games.... And then I woke up. Another one of these dreams I had, involved being dragged into purgatory with Mike Wizowski, and being at a dinner party that also included Bendy, Amethyst (SU) and Jaiden (Jaiden Animations).

Have I ever had dreams that made sense in some way or another? I can't say I have. Even the worse dreams, things just happened so randomly, there was no consistent theme or plot to them. So when I recently read that people are theorizing dreams are us visiting alternate universes, I want to know why I'm getting transported into the bizarre ones. I'll admit I do enjoy being able to fly around, by just jumping and spreading my arms as if I was a plane but that's it.

I hate being unable to move quickly when I need to in dreams being chased by something unholy?
"Wanna be able to run?" Yes "Too bad."

Drive a car? "Skidaddle skidoodle your driving skills are no longer useable"

Ride a bike? "What's gravity?"

At this point having a dream that makes something that resembles sense would terrify me because of how abnormal and bizarre my dreams usually are. Well at least the ones I remember.

I don't know if that's how itnis for everyone or most people or it's just me but I guess I can't complain since I'm lucky enough to not be as unfortunate to have nightmares everytime I fall asleep so I got that going for me
