Description Since I became aware of the fact, that Easter is coming upon us, this screamed for some dinosaur action and I sketched a Concavenator in the hot pursuit of Easter eggs.
Well, I wish you a happy Easter with a successful egg hunt like my little Eastervenator is enjoying it.

hehe, so true!
An Oviraptor would have been too obvious... and as an admirer of the Carnosauria I took Concavenator

Maybe
Or, more likely, the female Concavenators may love it, then he won't have to spent the holidays alone.

Luckily, I have the 'power' to put my dinosaurs into happy scenarios, which makes me happy, too

He's referring to this joke from a dinosaur comic book we have. I don't have a scan of it, but in it, a Concavenator asks a herbivore if the herbivore wants to touch his hump because it will give you good luck if you do. The herbivore comes closer and the Concavenator says "It always attracts the curious little ones." (or something like that), and grabs the herbivore. In the next gory panel the Concavenator is eating the herbivore and says that "it brings me bloody good luck, that hump."

Stupid, but vaguely funny. I mostly just liked it because it was the first ever depiction of Concavenator in cartoon form that I've seen.
(Even though they blatantly stole this artist's color scheme for their depiction, and gave it an ugly under-bite like a bull dog. :C )

Regardless of that, I like your comic MUCH better.
The spots on the sail are very colorful and sort of remind me of the colors easter eggs can be, with the blue and the red. Was that intentional? Also the shading and everything is wonderful as it always is.

Oh, that was the reason for his question whether the hump brings luck or not.
Well, that sort of humor isn't everybody's taste, and maybe it isn't much creative to draw a carnivore doing a bloodshed. Also, I didn't know that there existed a cartoon depiction of Concavenator.

The Concavenator in the link you showed me is Raul Martin in my opinion and if I remember his drawing style in the right way. That's sad and disrespectful.

Aww, thank you so much! I did another sketch before this one, in that I drew male and female Concavenators and the male had just stripes on its hump, which was too boring looking in my eyes and I altered it. Somehow the red and blue spots look like eggs in the given perspective, which was probably more a coincidence than careful planning

I love your Concavenator and that you often don't depict dinosaurs just roaring and killing.Β

He seems really confident that he'll win the the Easter egg hunt, so I thought of that comic and that maybe their sails really do give Concavenators good luck.Β

Thanks!
I try to go different ways with my dinosaur depictions, although hunting scenes and depictions of killing the prey get likely more attention, because so many of us got "trained" by various horror movies
Hmm, when I read 'just roaring' I saw a scene of two dinosaurs performing for a show akin to 'American Idol'...

I think he won the Easter egg hunt. Probably, these egg like spots on the sail helped

Actually, the Concavenator was part of a practice session, but noticed soon, that I could use it for the holidays. The sketching style is a bit inspired by Jonathan Kuo's sketchesΒ jonnadon.blogspot.de/

Hehe, probably this should be. Well, a "true" Oviraptor would be among the usual suspects, when somewhere an egg disappears.

Scrambled (eggs)? Oh that will be a huge breakfast portion for everyone.

Well, maybe there's some smart detective, who's leading the investigations.

This could be a problem, when you have to eat every morning some eggs, unless you prefer to eat every day the same breakfast.

I hope they wouldn't be Scrambled eggs, Scrambled eggs Usually just end my appetite after a while... But I mean Eggs and Soldiers could be a maybe on my scale.

After the Easter holidays the situation will be resolved, so I think they won't need Detective Mr. Microraptor

I usually don't eat eggs at breakfast, but I prefer two slices of toast with jam and a cup of coffee, but they are a choice for the dinner.

Thats a fast resolve time! Good on that Police system indeed!

Agreed, Too many eggs.. nah ah, and they just don't always suit breakfast.
Cereal is my choice... Morning work starts at 8am and I'm up and moving by 6:45am, Wish Time allowed it. That, and I don't drive
