Just a little fun render, where I tried to give my Allosaurus the appearance of a folded origami figure

That's why this is so great it gives your art a style instead of looking like a video game, not that yours were bad for that but this is better.

I'm glad to hear you like this style I did this render. Sure, I can just animate my model and then render the animation sequence with my settings I used for this image.
Of course, it is difficult and can be a daunting job to create a scene, that should get close to the reality. This often leads to a complicated setup of your materials for your models and it takes time. More experienced 3D artists could possibly render my scenes more realistically, but I'm not a professional and additionally I sometimes want a more artistic results.

The professionals are too lazy to do it when they are getting paid. In truth it is less work to do a much as you can as practical effects if you are a perfectionist like me. Tho part of the problem is time constraints.
