Ho gawds. C-Puff's drawing cutsey crap! RUN FOR THE HILLS! RUN FOR THE HILLS!But Sir they're COMING from the hills!

*cough* anyway.
I'm kinda stuck in a rut where I have lots of things I can think of that I want to draw, but nothing on paper turns out the way I want it to. I also realize I haven't drawn a proper picture in a very long time
I've just had to focus on my final film so I'm rather tired when I get home and don't have the energy to spend +10 hours on a picture.Sooo... I usually just draw something easy and simple that doesn't have a deep meaning to it, isn't super involved and is just.. ..*sighs* ..shallow I suppose.
Regardless, here's Usagi and Leo. If their dimensions crossed a few years earlier.. ..except this is inaccurate since Usagi is at least 10 years older than Leo (more or less. As far as I can figure anyway) But then again usagi's from another dimension XDDD the rules of time do not apply dangit!!
anyway, forgive me for being a hypocrite after complaining for being called "too cutsey"
...*throws hands in the air* I don't even know any more. XP

Very cool. And there is NOTHING wrong with cute. I'm glad it's not all you do because you have such a wide range of talent, but cute is not a bad thing. It's just one end of a spectrum.

XDD I always tend to draw little kids with expressions like this when looking at the viewer. I always think it's something along the lines of them looking up at the "grown up" and going "huh wha? 8D what is it?" or, if you'd prefer, "What? You're taking the photo now? Right now?? *click* Oh darn!"
XD and yeah, there's nothing wrong with cute, but I think this is the most extreme I'm willing to go with it. I usually like to temper my cuteness in a way and not simply have it be super cute for no reason. Like... I don't think I'd ever draw a turtle tot just sitting there simplu because "It's cuuuute" XD;;
But that's just me.

Sometimes still is ok. Not always, but occasionally. And Cute is always good. Well... not taken too far, like "OMG LOOK AT THE FLUFFY BUNNYZZ POOPIN' RAINBOWZ!". That kind of cute makes people gag. But chibi-Leo glomping on Usagi? That kind of cute is made of Win. Always.

XDD;; actually its because I'm one of THOSE types of people who feel there's more to life than just "cute" 8D I'm afraid I'm not really a "cutsey person" XD;; despite my drawing style. *prefers more adult, edgier things*
But I plan to temper this with something darker >3 I just felt the need for some Usagi/Leo fluff. Hopefully I can scratch together the energy for a nice, involved picture again soon.

Ah, but there is SO much more to life than "more adult, edgier things" too. Don't limit yourself. There is a whole spectrum to explore.
Never underestimate the power of fluff. It's the basis, after all, of an entire religion. Sometimes there is iron beneath the softness, and in that is true strength.
To be less metaphorical- Yes, Usagi and Leo are cute here, but this portrays, I think, the fact of their friendship- it would remain the same, had they met at another stage in their lives. Perhaps their relationship would have had a different dynamic, but they would have been friends regardless. Some friendships are just like that.
Far from being "cutesy", you've illustrated a beautiful truth about relationships.
So... well done.

I agree, there is much more to life than "adult" and "edgy" XD but I'm still learning all this and slowly working my way through this knowledge with life experiences and stuff 8D
And yay! That's what I was trying to go for! X'3 Leo and Usagi have been through a lot, both in the TMNT comics, the TMNT cartoon and the UY comics. They're very close, and my own personal idea of canon makes them even closer XD I wanted to portray this, so I'm very glad you picked up on that.
