Description Let's draw some Sasuke! even though he's just a silhouette in this picture.

Sasuke is cool. Not only is he a Edo-Period Ghostbuster (for real) But he can also do magic. He can make barriers, summon creatures, fire magic blasts but above all else... he is psychic. and no, that doesn't mean he can see the future. He's psychic like how people in real life are psychic. He simply knows things he's not suppose to and can tell people's names and how they are related to each other without needing to be told.

Although I know psychicness doesn't really mean you see with your eyes any differently than normal people, I think if I had to draw how Sasuke sees things with his mind this is what it'd look like. This is yet another weird picture from me (Haven't done one of those in a while)

The pencils for this were drawn on an A3 paper (for you Americans, that means double the size of a standard piece of paper) which was a bitch to scan. It also meant this picture was double my usual resolution when working in Painter/PS. Surprisingly my computer handled it fine and without lag.

I'm unsure how long this took. I know the mountains alone took 6 hours but that's the only part of the picture I have a time-frame for. I am not adept at drawing swirlies so I referenced a lot of pictures. I feel it could look smoother but for now it's ok. I struggled with Jotaro a LOT for some reason. I didn't really use reference for the hearts so excuse that. I flunked Biology anyway.

Oh yes. The clouds also need work but my "just add water" blender was behaving strangely and I couldn't figure out how to fix it

That's all I can think to say

Everything Else - Painter IX

I wouldn't stress over the hearts, my dilemma would have been "Should I research human hearts or bunny?" and the pic never would have made it past that lol.
I think the clouds look great. Especially with there being two different types (cumulus and cirrus I think?) it adds to the realism.
My favorite part is how you referred to the string of destiny. There are different colors for different relationships and red represents love, it used to encompass all forms of love but modern culture puts the emphasis on romantic love (rolls eyes). Anyway all I remember is black is for hatred and yellow for servitude. There’s also white, silver and green.
Beautiful work! I love Sasuke. Wish Mr. Sakai would tell us more about him, slowly but surely we're learning about his past but the wait is killing me.

XDDD haha! I didn't even think of that! If I had I'd have referenced human hearts though.

Glad you like my clouds I'm always trying to get better with my backgrounds.

I didn't actually know that about the string of fate though XDDD I just always saw it as red but since it was always referred to as "The red string of FATE" and not necessarily "love" I thought it was appropriate.

I love Sasuke too! even if he can be unnerving and a little cold. I think it's mainly defense on his part. He's not willing to let people know much about him because they'll probably not understand him.

I JUST realized how stylized the landscape is. I'm so observant. Looks lovely, and how some parts look like a painting, but the mountains are still cool?
Perfect!

XDD haha! Yes. I pretty much threw perspective out the window with this picture, but I think it works with the slightly circular look it has Anyway thank you very much!

This sounds kinda weird, but you know how they have that stylized view when someone is looking at something? I think its called fisheye...

XDD ah yes. it's a kind of camera lense. I tend to draw things like that a lot

I'm not saying its bad! It's really cool here, and I suppose that should be the overall style, showing Sasuke's power and all.

XDD haha! No I didn't take it as something bad. It's just I tend to draw it subconsciously which is a little odd.

I have a natural aversion to backgrounds. We all have our little quirks in the creative process, which is why places like this exist so we can see how other people get along.

Wow, this is really cool! The longer I stare, the more I like it. You can defnitely split this into two artworks the way you've arranged it! (Just a thought, lol) And I love that silhouette. It really adds depth to the piece!!

Totally cool!

C-Puff In reply to The-Ez [2011-02-02 22:42:08 +0000 UTC]

Thanks I was worried that the picture would look like it was frankensteined together XD;; that the bottom half and top half were too disconnected but I hope the colours tie it together. But thank you very much! I'm glad you like it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Ez In reply to C-Puff [2011-02-03 07:33:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, no worries, your pic totally ties together, in a movie poster kind of way. You can totally add your story's title in the middle of the silhouetted character (Sasuke, was it?) there and get away with it.

Have you ever made a "fake" movie poster with your characters? They're really fun and you'll get a lot of satisfaction from it. Like, "This can TOTALLY happen someday!"

Yes, I did one. Why do you ask?!

But kudos, btw, that you do artworks of scenes from your stories. It takes a lot of discipline not to splurge on instantly gratifying artworks without backgrounds or story.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

C-Puff In reply to The-Ez [2011-02-04 13:10:10 +0000 UTC]

I should do a movie poster yes if I can come up with an idea XD;;

And thank you very much I usually prefer pictures with an idea behind them rather than just a character in a pose. It sometimes makes it hard to come up with an idea but I never feel satisfied with a character just standing around XD;;

I totally get what you're saying about wanting an idea behind a picture! Kudos to you, you're making narrative types around the world proud!!! SAY NO TO GENERIC, POINTLESS ARTWORKS!!

C-Puff In reply to Cheruphim [2011-02-03 17:52:44 +0000 UTC]

XD;; All over the place. A lot of them I bought from a Comic store in Vancouver, others I got from Amazon.com and, failing that, Amazon.ca
Then, some others, I found from other comic stores not as large as my usual one and 3 of them I had to buy in South Africa because they were out of print in America and one of them I had to buy 2nd hand from the Amazon market Place. Most of them are on Amazon though for a very good price. Usually about $12 (where as they cost about $18 in a store)

This is awesome!

I like how you accentuated the hearts.

That could be his technique; he can tell the truth by the way a person's heart is, and he saw similarities in Usagi and Jotaro's heart pattern.

Have you read Usagi Yojimbo: Yoka, yet?
