Consider this my contribution to the "Twilight is now Immortal but her friends are not" trend. A little less morbid than the other ones out there perhaps XD
My headcanon is that Discord only likes Fluttershy and isn't friends with any other of the mane six and doesn't even get along with them very well. He is not enjoying this conversation... for multiple reasons.

Actually, Cadence is confirmed to have been made into an alicorn thanks to that handy dandy book that was released. [link] I'm not sure the being born alicorns thing is confirmed yet with Celesita and Luna, but we shall see..
And that's an interesting idea. I'd assume the same thing and that it has something to do with their immortality.

I like to think Cadance is at least mortal. I don't think she would have married Armor if she knew she was going to have to watch him grow old and die before her.
Perhaps immortality comes from a spell cast willingly, one only performed by alicorns.
