Description I really didn't like how long the last picture took, especially considering that it wasn't overly ambitious or super detailed or anything.

So to de-stress myself and just have fun I drew Jotaro and Spot (version 2.0) because, apart from drawing monsters, drawing rabbit children and lizards are the best way to relax XD

I didn't put Jotaro's pattern on his kimono because I didn't want to clutter the picture... besides I couldn't find a pattern I liked that matched his close enough >> ... but mostly the clutter thing.

The pose was inspired by a concept drawing done by Kim Hyung Tae.

I really like =purplekecleon 's sense of colour in her comic "Trevor's Race" that she did recently. I tried to see if I could get a similair look, perhaps to play around with more properly in the future. For now, I merely settled for trying to duplicate the look and feel and see if I could figure out how she handled her colours in that comic. (without using any eyedropper tool, just pure sight)

The day I drew this I had had a life drawing class earlier, and the model had been in a pose where his leg was in slight perspective very much like Jotaro's here. it made it a LOT easier to draw since I remembered what I did to make it work during class.

I'm going to bed now |D
Hopefully I'll draw a proper picture over the weekend XDD this took about an hour and a half to do.

FUN BUT USELESS FACT!!
Usagi's outfit is blue. Mariko's is usually pink. Jotaro's is purple, and Kenichi, Usagi's rival who despises him, wears orange (the opposite of Blue on the colour wheel)

SEE?? I TEACH YOU SOMETHING EVERY DAY!

No, He's always been a character all his own, from his own universe with its own stories and characters. I'm not sure why Stan Sakai and Laird and Eastman started doing cross-overs with each other XDDD there's a lot of cross-overs in the TMNT comics where Usagi shows up, there's episodes in both the old toon and new toon where Usagi shows up, and there is more than one Usagi comic where the turtles show up XDDD I have no idea why or how it started.

Liking this a lot. The colours are really nice, without being too faded or too vivid...eyecatching. I is am gud wit wurds, no?

The lines are really lovely. Crisp and clean. How do you generally go about doing your lines?

I super hard like the lizard's pose..and I'd say the same for Jotaro's head. Something just makes them pop off the page.

Nice stuff!

XD Thank you very much! Usually I like my colours to be very vivid, but this time I tried to keep them calmer but not boring. The real trick was stopping myself from brightening them too much.

Generally I always do my lines like this, but usually I colour them and then burn the side that's in shadow and dodge the side that the light is hitting. This time I merely left them black. I tried colouring them but it didn't fit the look I wanted so I left them as is

XD and thanks! This is the second time I've tried drawing the lizards in UY's world and they're ridiculously fun, but their legs are hard to work out.

Anyway thanks again!
