Description
This is a quick guide for new contributors who are not used to using Creative Commons licenses. When you go to the DeviantArt Submit Art screen, at the bottom there is an option for "Choose License". There you will select the options shown in the picture above to get the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (or CC-BY-SA) license, the default license for all @CameliaGirls work.
And just so you know, works under the CC-BY-SA are free to view, distribute and modify as long as you credit the original artist and also permit these same freedoms to others. It's a license that encourages sharing and collaboration.

may I use this for a booklet? You see my desktop publishing class is making a creative commons/fair use/copy right booklet as a final and I would like to use this for my booklet. I'll save the picture for now but won't put it in until I receive a reply. The day the booklet is being made is this Thursday, So if you can reply as soon as you can. Thank You!

Hello.
I'm sorry I got to your reply too late, I'm generally a rather busy piggy, especially during this time of year.Β
Actually, it seems rather ironic you're asking me if you could use this for a creative commons booklet, when the picture itself is license under Creative Commons Attribution only (see below), meaning that you're free to use it whenever and however you want to so long as you credit me for the work (a link back here is fine, for instance).Β So really, there was no need to ask or wait, and normally I appreciate the courtesy although in this specific case it ended up negatively impacting you unnecessarily (and thus, giving me guilt).Β XD
But oh well, hopefully you did end up using it anyway, and this is simply a formality at this point.Β ^^
I'm still not sure why you'd use this, though, given it's specific only to Deviantart.Β You may want other guides and artwork for general usage, perhaps even the Ubunchu comic on the matter (which I drew the English insert for):Β c-quel.deviantart.com/art/Ubunβ¦

It's ok and actually he extended it to next thursday so no worries and I needed your 'written' permission because it is under a creative commons license, as such my teacher said. But again thank you and of course you will be credited
and I'm trying to find different examples of creative commons licenses, and ok I'll take a look at it, thank you!

Excellent, glad to be of help then!.Β ^^
Oh, and do point the instructor to the Creative Commons FAQ, specifically the section on who give permission to use material licensed under Creative Commons....

You only need to ask the original creator if you wish to use it for purposes beyond those outlined in the license, or if you're not sure and simply want to double-check.Β
