Description The first series after the Pilot strips, we begin with an impromptu birthday for CC which DD totally did not forget. Yeah....

Stay tuned for Part 2 so you can see what awesome and cheap gift DD managed to secure for our beloved cowlick girl. ^^

Also, the two silly ponies officially live in a shed and use a quadracycle to move around the neighborhood.

Bikecar ftw. It's both environmentally friendly and economical.

I'm anxious to see what she gets! And now to get the hi-res version so I can see what those signs actually say.

Hehe, yeah, I wish those things were more popular! Fun, cheap, fuel-free and fast even (especially with a dynamo-based electric motor assist). I had an absolute blast riding one of these in Canada, and it wasn't even a cool-looking one!

Oh, and thank you for the purchase!
Hopefully you loved the little easter eggs found therein.

Sorry I'm taking too long on the next one... just got a Galaxy Note 10.1, and positively gushing over it. Chances are the next two strips are gonna show up back to back. ^^

Awesome blossom. Trying my darndest to get SDC spread far and wide. By this time next year, I would love to see toys and merch for SDC selling at con tables and such, that would be very awesome.

My country don't have those, so I assume about that amount.

C-quel In reply to BB-K [2012-08-15 04:55:07 +0000 UTC]

haha, I see. ^^

But yeah, thanks to inflation, $1 stuff is now more or less a thing of the past (you'll still have it for some things, but not like it was 15 years ago...)

C-quel In reply to BB-K [2012-08-15 06:39:23 +0000 UTC]

A little after Reagan, but yeah the USD has been in decline since then too.

BB-K In reply to C-quel [2012-08-15 06:52:08 +0000 UTC]

It was all in poor leadership, after Reagan died, the feeling of him passed as well, making current leaders dumb, in the end, China takes all of our jobs and that's where the currency became so low. And today, we're still helping the foreign nations FOR FREE in terms of military support and yet we're still in debt. Most recent problems are Syria & Libya.

Don't want to rant further but you get the idea, that's why, don't vote for Obama!

C-quel In reply to BB-K [2012-08-15 14:12:46 +0000 UTC]

Hmmmmmmmm... which country did you say you're from again? Hopefully it's one with more news options about the States than VOA.

I could say this or that about Reagan or any other president, but ultimately it's pointless with this specific instance because none of them can issue money. The last US Presidents that advocated the printing of US money by the US government were Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, and if you know your US history you'll know what happened to both of them.

The truth is no discussion of the modern US money system is complete without discussing the Federal Reserve central bank system, which is responsible for printing what we call money. It was since its inception in 1913 that inflation as we know it first started to take off. It's just that the process has been slow and gradual, only picking up pace during the last three decades.

So what I pay $2.00 now, I could have bought for $0.02 back in 1912, or even 1812. Its pure and simple theft, and has no place either in a proper democracy or even proper capitalism.

BB-K In reply to C-quel [2012-08-15 14:24:07 +0000 UTC]

US actually, that's where I'm referring most.

Anyway, it's pretty sad when it's all because of inflation, it all began with oil.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

C-quel In reply to BB-K [2012-08-15 14:40:50 +0000 UTC]

Oh lol, so all that stuff about living in "this country, or that country" was just to be dramatic? Or maybe you got confused by the alleged name of "my" country -- that's just for show, since there is no reliable internet access in Nauru.

And well if it wasn't oil, it would have been any other finite resource -- the point is to maintain the illusion of scarcity. The benefit of oil to the elite is that it can be used to create many different products (increasing dependency), and it pollutes the environment (creating extra profit in the healthcare industry to treat more sick people).

That's the problem with worshipping money, is that you give people the excuse to do ANYTHING to get more of it.

Lol, well MY ponies are notoriously lazy, so if they can do something to avoid laborintensive activities, they'll try it in a heartbeat.

But that sounds like an awesome strip idea. *jots it down*

lol, you got it. Although I would call that a "pedal car" since it's essentially what it's designed to be... in RL they're very cool, I'm still shocked as to why they're not more common.
