Veridae wasn't fast enough to evade a quick draw from behind, falling to her knees as an alien corruption enters her body. Brilliantly Scary Concept! I mean, the headcleaner needing to obey orders was one thing, but the fact that someone can just shut you down is scary on a whole other level, and from the audiences perspective, she's just gonna wake up somewhere to her new life of servitude, makes a great cliffhanger for this page, or hey, I could be wrong and something completely unexpected could happen, making an EVEN MORE interesting cliffhanger, great addition to this comic all around!

Thnx. My upload schedule on this is suddenly really fast since several are done in advance, so I'd like people to enjoy it as opposed to waiting 1-2 weeks in between pages cuz I'm slow. The body horror aspect is shown through the sequential evolutions that are out of Veridae's control, usually by people who don't have her best interests in mind. She clearly has some amazing combat-oriented abilities, but can also be programmed like a robot to do what she's told. The more you explore mind control, the scarier it gets. For Veridae, the changes become darker and more sinister and less about her.
