Here's a bit o' C91 lore for you guys....

Kade (pictured in the darker outfit) is a character that I wanted to introduce for quite some time. As Veridae is a dark magick researcher and part-time instructor at a major wiccan university, Kade would attend her classes whenever possible, sometimes being the only one in attendance, and absorbed everything Miss Tricca knew. This pretty quickly evolved into Kade assisting Veridae with her dark magick research, something that Veridae initially wasn't comfortable with, but Kade convinced her to open up a bit and be more welcoming to her odd passion.

Dark magick isn't a popular subject among wiccans for culturally significant reasons, so Veridae often kept this to herself. Veridae had always been an exceptionally gifted sorceress, even amongst other wiccans who are already naturally good at magick, but her fascination with dark magick and the dark arts always left people either confused, concerned or uncomfortable. This is why Kade's pure and innocent fascination with Veridae's pursuits brought them together so well - while a teacher/student relationship at heart, it was nice for once for Veridae to have an audience that didn't judge her and was happy to help out whenever possible.

This, of course, means that both Kade and Veridae are subject to whatever goes wrong when dealing with dark magick, as it's clearly not easy to control and will often have a mind of its own.

As for Veridae's newish appearance here, this is a design that's been in my head forever but I couldn't quite figure out how to do it. This is most definitely her best design to date, and what I wish to build upon for further use. Kade's design looks pretty solid for the time being and doesn't need any improvements that I can see.
