Description
An original strategy game where you battle for the largest control of armies. Kind of like Othello, yet very different.Feedback would be appreciated.

A bit of a followup to my previous response -
The one problem with the game is that there is a very large random factor - if one side gets consistently better pieces, even if only for a few tiles in a row, it can really shift the momentum of the game if it doesn't get balanced out by a similar streak on the other side. There's also a VERY large incosistency in the sum of the final scores between games - I've had games where the winning side had under 600 points, and games where the losing side had 750. The best way I can think of to correct this is to have a sort of 'tile pool' - instead of randomly choosing a value for the next piece when the turn switches, instead, build a list ahead of time of the tiles and the number of each available, then draw tiles from that list. That way, you can be sure that both sides get the same resulting total point value in tiles by the end of the game, so the score differential is entirely due to having stolen more pieces from the opponent, rather then having just had luckier piece draws throughout the game.

The AI is easy to figure out, the AI focuses so much on taking the most points that it doesn't look at all at the fact that it should barricade in it's high territories in order to protect them.
The game is a lot of fun though.

Yeah, well... I didn't even realize the barricading high territories strategy existed until after I wrote the A.I. , it just sort of emerged and made the game awesome. So the A.I. only cares about capturing and reinforcing as many territories as possible, if it's on the higher settings. On the lowest setting, it just picks a move in which it gets a few points or more at random.

Its sad how an inteligent game like this doesnt get much good response but a very crapy made game about clicking pens gets better.
However my brain has not been turned to mush so I like this game alot, good job. FAV!

This is truly an excellent game, and I've spent an hour playing it.. so far. I played 3 quick start games before I even started exploring the options. I got really into "expert" on "most" land. I'll definately be back when I'm surfing and get some free time.
