So this is my newly updated Matt cosplay, and I am now officially a binding fem Matt with an imaginary penis. Also, this picture is kind of a fanservice, it's a Matty Christmas gift, tied up with chocolate in his mouth for Mello. Enjoy, write fanfiction, do whatever you want with it. Just know that I had fun with it. My Mello needs a wig before she's comfortable with her cosplay. Lets hope she can cut it soon.Related content

Why thank you, I'm glad you liked my chocolaty treat. I've actually fixed my vest, so I think I'll take a similar shot with my improved cosplay when my group gets together. We made about a dozen cosplays the week before Otakon and now we want some pictures.

Looking through and commenting on your pictures is enough of a reward for me so no thanks needed. I'm happy you had fun searching through my small amount of pictures and my Mattyness. If my Mello gets her cosplay finished at some point maybe I can get more pictures up. And I did notice we're both Matts, it made me super excited. I was allowed out for my (Matt's) birthday, and promptly spent that time in Matt cosplay. I threw my school through a loop because I normally only wear cosplay on Wednesdays but our BBirthday was on a Tuesday. I had a lot of fun with that though, so fun confusing the normal people. XD

I got the goggles off Amazon, I just searched orange goggles. As for the wig, I got it at this random wig/weave shop here. I got it on sale too, $10, I love it! Maybe search for red wigs online? Or if you have a wig shop near you you'd be able to find something good. I really lucked out with this.
The really funny thing is that I didn't buy a single item myself. They were all gifts or hand-me downs. My BB bought my wig, made my vest, and gave me the boots. My sister bought me the shirt, gloves, goggles and even the chocolate. The pants are normal jeans, I should invest in making Matty pants.

Awesome, I have 7 group cosplays to wear to this year's Otakon. A few of them will be bigger groups than the others but they'll all be awesome. My DN group is unfortunately one of the small ones. But I have a Mello, L and possibly a BB if I can get her to change.

How old are you? I went to my first con last year at 17 because I could pay for everything myself. I only go to two conventions though, Anthrocon in Pittsburgh PA, and Otakon in Baltimore MA. I live in DE. So it takes about two hours to get to Otakon and 6 to get to Anthrocon. Though, I went to Anthro with my mom and best friend.

Next AB I'm planning on staying in a hotel with 7 of my friends and one of my friends older sister (the adult). I'm so excited!!!

That'll be fun, this year I'm rooming with 5 of my friends, my sister, her friend and their boy friends. It's going to be a lot of fun because we're all really crazy and flip out easily over anime things. Plus we'll be meeting up with a bunch of our other friends so there's more insanity to be had.

The hair is actually a wig, but I'll keep the goggle thing in mind next photo shoot. I was going to do it but they were fogging and I ended up deciding not to deal with the difficulty of putting them on like that. But I might at some point. I'm happy you like it, and thanks for the comment on my face, I'm happy it's got a nice shape.

fake cigarettes, I light them and they smoke...
taste bad but look good.
My goggles are actual swimming goggles and quite good ones^^
They don't fog and ahh... I remember the day I bought them.
My Mello and I, fully dressed in our Cosplay exept for my goggles,
went to search for them and found great ones! Quickly I putted them on
and them we ran around the whole day, me smoking and Mello eating chocolate.

Wish I could have been there. I don't think I could handle even the fake cigarettes. But candy cigarettes are yummy so it's okay.

Oh, they're easy to make^^ It's only the cover, you can use real
cigarette paper but I've just drawn it with acryllic, then I
stuffed it with toilet paper xD They burn like real cigarettes and
for a good photo you can even inhale the smoke and make it look
like you really smoke... even though it tastes not so good xD'
But atleast it's not toxic like real cigarettes^^

I don't want to inhale anything that doesn't belong in my lungs, I get enough of that without trying so I'm good on that one. If I had to get fake cigarettes I'd probably get the electric ones that use mist instead of smoke.

You shouldn't let the smoke into you lungs,
just into the mouth and then you can make some
nice smoker shots ;3

I love how we see eye to eye on so many things. I could also photo shop in some smoke if I had the skill. But at least you found something to make cool effects with.

I sadly don't have photoshop... during my work intership
we had to work with PS and it's great! GIMP is quite similar but
PS has more possibilities. To make smoke I guess would be hard,
but with a little practice make able.
Since I go to our Conventions in Hamburg I want to make the effects
in real life and not only digitally

Finally I found out how our sewing machine works
and I don't have to sew per hand now, so I guess
my cosplays will get better ;3

Like Harley Quinn or for Anti-Wanda the wings and especially
the wig were problems... but the funniest thing about my cosplays
is that normally a friend says, about two days before a con,
that he wants to cosplay this or that with me and then the cosplay
it made in only one day

It's sewed 'by' hand, not per hand, but I imagine it will improve your cosplays. That is particularly impressive, knowing that you make good cosplays in one day. I can barely manage having the whole year to work.

always mix in our head and then we write things like
"I wanted to aller chez a friend of mine." xD'
I actually did this in a class test.

fairy wings and corset^^
The Harley Quinn Cosplay is planed for
summer and our big convention.
I even have Poison Ivy as a partner!

I have a different friend being my Harley (because she actually was named after Harvey) so I'm being her Ivy. Though I really was debating being Cat Woman because I wear cat ears all the time but I really couldn't decide which I liked more and Harley tipped the scales because the two kind of together.

My lover didn't turn we crazy but when he dumped
me (kind of meanly... even a little Jokerlike O.o)
that turned me crazy. But I still am a happy person
and am fighting for staying one! Just like Harley,
that's why I can really identify with her^^
And I think the world needs more fun and clowns!
I have been a very flexible and sportive person,
I've had some issues with my health but I am trying
to get myself a little more strong and flexible again
for my Harley Cosplay.
We want another friend of us to make Catwoman,
but she hasn't agreed yet, but she will muhahahaha!

Yea but I don't think we're doing those cosplays until next year. It's great when you can relate to the characters. I'm a nature lover and radical like Ivy, so I got her down pat.
I'm the most flexible of all of my friends actually, and of course we're all perverts so every time I stretch and one of them see's it they have to make some sort of comment. I'd like to be Cat Woman too, since I always seem to be the cat and the Kleptomaniac but I just really want to be Ivy more for some reason.

Our Conventions are very small... bat the food is good
and is already in the price of the card

We have to pay for our own food, and it gets expensive because the prices are up for the convention. Most cosplayers go without eating during the convention because there's too much going on. They snack on pockey but mostly I think people just forget to eat/sleep because they're too wound up about the whole thing. I don't know about other conventions but I go to Otakon, which is actually the largest anime convention on the East Coast.
