I was just curious, as I want to make stories as a career, what do you value more in your work, CA: the art portraying the story or the story behind the drawing? I mainly ask because I have a story I want to make an official book but I don’t know if I want it to be a novel or a graphic novel (though I’d have to hire someone to draw cause I suck at drawing)

I honestly think both are valuable to each other. Both are crucial. The story allows the art to have direction and give a visual representation, but the art gives the story a face to go along with the words and events it wants to tell.

Since I mostly do comics, write your story first. And then decide whether you think it'll be good for a graphic novel or not yet
