Ok, backstory here: a while ago, I said I really liked a show called The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That. And one thing I liked about that show is that it took Dr. Seuss' style of drawing really weird wonky machines and applied it to ordinary objects. The very first episode of the show involved a bottle of Maple Syrup that looks like a teapot. Which is the most Seussian thing I've ever seen.

And it inspired me to apply my own wonky take on ordinary props and turn them into weird looking machines that looks like they're somewhere between realistic and cartoonish. Making the whole thing more surreal than a melting clock. And speaking of clocks, most of what I drew seems to have a sort of steampunk style, which I'm not complaining about. I love steampunk style.

Anyway, the props I drew goes as following.

First I drew some sort of wrist mounted TV watch, I think I was trying to make a smart phone. Either that or rip off that one time Robbie Rotten had one exactly like this.

Then I drew a flip-phone that looks more like a pocket watch.

Next was a payphone that looks like the result of an alarm clock and a gramophone getting it on.

And lastly is grand piano that's just crammed full of gears. This one actually had several drafts, if one could call it that. The first version I did had a bunch of other musical instruments, like drums and horns, sticking out of the piano as if it was suppose to be a mechanical one-man-band. Instead, that version looked like someone threw up a one-man-band.

So I'm honestly more satisfied with this design.
