That's probably more just difference with the promo art. Ruby, Yang and (maybe) Weiss's emblems have all been simplified.

The new looks are definitely killer, with some of them having changed more than others. They are still all their beautiful selves of course. A cute outfit for Nora might work well too. Jaune however must keep the hoodie, so say we all.

Indeed. Most of the students at Beacon had an official Huntsman costume that looked like it had been expertly designed with an eye to cultivate a designated image for the Huntsman trainee in question. That may have actually been the case for Weiss and Pyrrha, but in general all the characters brought to our attention looked like they attended a class like "Selling Your Style: A Huntsman's Image" at some point. Then there was Jaune, who looked like he had strapped some old armor on top of his street clothes, grabbed the family heirlooms off the wall, and declared himself to be an official student hero! Which was a big part of his appeal as the off-step but endearing misfit who so badly wanted to walk his talk. And the entire hoodie scene said more about his background than anything before it.

I just hope they don´t start out with action again, since in my fanfiction, Ruby is unconscious and needs medical attention.
