Description
*sigh* i am going through a trial and error process before i start the series. In this trial i have discovered that
- i will not be doing these series at night. (long exposures)
-i will not do the panoramic style because i have a wide enough lens that it would be effective. also because i can not get all of the shots to stay the same exposure
i went through a lot to get just the trial done (including getting chased by a dog...
Since i am going to photograph during the day, i do not know if i will keep them in color or B&W. Still pondering on that. Maybe i will make a poll later.
Tell me what you think!

thank you!!!!
all you do is photograph one exposure on AV and remember the setting. Then for the other images that will make the picture, you put it on manual and use the settings that your camera metered on the first shot.
I will redo this project when i get the motivation again

the size in width with panoramics is tricky.

sorry its small
aww thank you

What type of camera are you using? Why can't you set it to take the same exposure on different pictures?

I am using canon 40D
the lens is a f2.8 17-55mm.
i am still learning the panoramic style and i do not know how
to set it to take the same exposure
the internal meter does not meter consistently resulting in what you see there.
I was being rushed and could not use manual so i used aperture priority setting
*eck*

Next time, try first setting the picture with the least lighting using your aperture priority. Then look at the numbers on the top of the camera. It should read f2.8 and 1/60 or some other shutter speed given the light conditions. Change it over to manual mode and turn the settings to read the same as it did in aperture priority. Then take your first shot. After the first shot do not change the settings for your aperture or shutter speed. Line up the edge of the next shot with where the middle was in your fist shot and do this with each following shot. I have also learned that you may want to shoot a lot more area both vertically and horizontally than you might want in the final edit of the panoramic picture. You can always crop, but it is very hard to go back and add. I recommend using Photoshop products to photomerge and make panoramics that way. I hope this helps you.

Not a problem. I love panoramic pictures. I look forward to seeing some great ones come from you. I liked the one you uploaded tonight because it was so different. It reminded me of a panoramic collage because of the different exposures.
