Description
Ha, finished! (Finally, amiright?)Gotta get a scan of this one of these days, but it's too big for Dad's or Em's.
Used only one color ink, lol. Mixed it myself, since I don't have any brown... Some of the red got separated out a little, but that actually looks pretty cool, so I ain't complaining.
What else can I prattle on about? Didn't quite turn out like I wanted it to, but I'm an ink-noob so that's to be expected, I suppose. It was a learning experience, anyway, haha. Had some fun with the watercolor effects (so hard to control, and the ink sets really fast) even though I wish I'd been more careful with the linework and stuff. Not to say I'm unhappy with it -- I actually like it a lot, but I focus on my shortcomings... Oh well, onto the next project! (Hopefully I've learned my lessons so it'll rawk more'n this one does.

Finally! XD
This turned out really nice, great job. I like how you only used brown ink. Monochromatic stuff is cool.
Lol little bug...

Thanks. X3
Still kinda freaks me out how it looks like I just took the photo with a sepia setting, though... O_o Oh well. Dad actually mentioned something about having a huge scanner at work, so maybe once I get the second part done, I can post the pics more true-to-life.
Rar, ants are everywhere.

I just use a camera, then do auto-levels in photoshop (ctrl+shift+L). It usually comes really close to life. Taking the picture over a grey background helps dramatically (concrete works perfectly. I set my stuff down on the front walkway in the shade.)
One of my art teacher's passed out a nifty card to use while taking photos, when he was giving a lecture about it. It's about the size of a business card and has swatches of the primary colors, along with a green and magenta. Just set it next to the art when you take a photograph of it, and make sure it's included in the photo. You can fiddle with the levels in photoshop until the card's colors are as close as you can get to real life, and the drawing/painting will be near perfect.
I hate ants. Some aunts, too. XD just kidding.
