I assume the arms are for the four nations depicted? What software did you use to create the map?

Yep. I just now realize I should probably have provided labels 
- the golden lion on red is for Araniell;
- the three blue fish on white are for Gaendyr;
- the charging bull on green is for Faltorn; and
- the golden dolphin on blue is for Ilan.
I used Photoshop for the entire process, from the first sketches to the final product. Work was done on a drawing tablet however, with a mouse all those tapering lines would have been almost impossible
