I may use this if I find a Striker weapon other than SnS I like. I'm currently loving my Adept Cb(Daora's Thwartoise!!!) and don't plan on testing many new combos soon. Maybe if I like Striker CB I'll test Absolute Evade.
(honestly I think absolute readiness would work better for me since I can evade stuff pretty well without evasion skills :V)

I wonder if a good adept style hunter would ever us absolute evade. Would it be all that necessary for them?

I think thats the key - IF you're good with adept then no.
I use absolute evade as " get out of a way " move, just like Teostra's supernova move
or Dreadking rathalos meteor blast ( not sure what the real name that attack is ).
Fast to run away with it and can heal if needed.

I can say with experience now that I own MHX, I don't ever think about using that hunter art, even though some might call it smart. More importantly, *That moment when you make a new weapon, and decide to take it out for a test hunt...and you forget that you switched weapons*
