Didn't really have anyone else to try my 5D + 50mm 1.8 lens on... hence reaching for the remote shutter release
Bounced some flash off the wall.. probably could have stood more in the middle but then you'd miss that bokeh on the pot plant in the background

I was browsing through your 'older photos' in your gallery, and without even looking at the title, this photo really appealed to me. (didn't realise it was a self-portrait until I read your comment).
I love the balance in this... I disagree with you saying you should have stood in the middle. To me, it would have look too central. Good job!
